Voting Question: Is there a way to gauge site traffic for a domain name without actually hosting it?

Let's say you have a couple domain names you're not doing anything with and don't want to pay for hosting. Is there a way to see stats for how many people tried to go to the page? If someone owns a bunch of domain names, how do they know the traffic potential without paying for hosting for all of them? Usually I'd use statcounter and put it on there but if it's not hosted I can't do that. Do the domain parking services give you page load stat info?
